Stuck in the middle of July, this sagra’s tempo will be perfect, as the weather in Tuscany is quite everywhere very warm, at this time. You’ll be able to taste a typical pasta, which can be considered endemic of this small area in south part of Grosseto province: the lunghino, lungo meaning long, a filiform sort of spaghetti or better said, pici-like pasta dish. It will be hand made - on the link below you’ll find images about Poggio Murella inhabitants preparing it - and it is accompanied with different sauces, as vegetables or meat.

The sagra menu can vary, but in case you find, don’t miss the lumache, the snails, which are another local deli: along the whole year, some other sagras are here consecrated to lumache, and Poggio Murella’s snails cooked as stew or in any other way are famous in this area. Other Tuscan classic will be on the menu such as the grilled meat; or panzanella, a beloved, favorite dish by Tuscans, especially when the Tuscan sun gets really serious.
