Local specialties:

  • First courses: penne al ragù di daino, penne pasta with fallow deer sauce
  • Second courses: peposo di daino, fallow deer stew; coscio di daino al forno con piselli, roasted leg of fallow deer with peas
  • Desserts: cantucci e Vin Santo, cantucci biscuits with Vin Santo wine

This is a very particular event in the Tuscan sagras landscape. First of all because it’s dedicated to fallow deer meat, quite difficult to find. Secondly, it’s an event that offers a set menu at the fixed price of 22 Euro. The menu offers a first pasta course, two delicious second courses, a garnish and a cake. Red wine and water are available on the table, so can be consumed at will.

Important note: it’s mandatory to reserve the seats in advance by phone. We can’t guarantee that the person who answers the phone can speak English, so if you don’t speak Italian the best choice is to be helped by an Italian speaker.
